How we check fit

Height uses the robot's published height (its highest point, including any LiDAR turret) plus 0.2 in of margin. Thresholds use the manufacturer's single-threshold climbing figure where one is published; when it isn't, we flag it instead of guessing.

Floor area

We estimate coverage per charge as the claimed runtime × 7 ft² per minute — a conservative rule of thumb from manufacturers' own quiet-mode figures. Every robot here recharges and resumes automatically, so "needs a recharge" means it finishes later, not that it can't.

Rugs and mopping

Robots whose mop doesn't lift (or detach) can't mop and vacuum rugs in the same run without you setting no-mop zones. Mop lift of 10 mm or more handles most low-pile rugs.
